Digital Latex Ink Printing

Our latex inks provide outdoor durability together with odourless prints and reduced environmental impact, meeting a range of stringent human health criteria represented by UL ECOLOGO® and GREENGUARD GOLD certifications.. The water-based formulation provides healthier production than solvent inks without trading off performance. It contains no toxins, making it safe for use in dining areas, hospitals, schools, clinics etc.

Screen Printing

For over thirty years Woodline Shade Solutions has been supplying a comprehensive range of top-quality, price competitive OEM parasols for the local and international market. Well-known international brands and contract market customers alike have benefited from our premium grade screen printing, providing excellent branding opportunities for commercial applications, making our parasols as comfortable in the marketplace as they are in the home.

The screen printed method of branding is effective and long-lasting. A separate screen and positive film is required for each colour. We can print up to 8 colours, including Pantones, metallics and luminous colours. CMYK process, halftone and index print techniques are also available.

Direct-to-fabric Printing

Our latest investment, the Avanti TX 3200, can print fabric rolls of up to 3200mm wide at speeds of up to 75sqm/hr at 600 x 900 dpi. This is the new generation way to substitute dye sublimation and is used in conjunction with our Monti Antonia heat press.

• Fabrics are prepared with special coatings to ensure ink adhesion.
• All fabrics used are 100% polyester and flame retardant.
• We can achieve a 95% strike-through on fabrics.
• Pigment inks create a physical, non-chemical bond with the fibre and can be used on a wide variety of fabrics, including mixed fibres.

From a printing point of view, the pigment application process is simpler, allowing printing on different fibres with the same technology, optimising and improving the entire production process and reducing waste and water consumption.

Hardware Manufacturing

Woodline is a vertically integrated company that prides itself on manufacturing our own products locally at our production facilities in Johannesburg and Jeffreys Bay. We make our own metal and concrete bases, metal ground spikes, aluminium frames, metal fittings including marine grade stainless steel, plus we have a woodworking division for those who prefer the warmth of our fine grained eucalyptus finish. In addition we have a cement plant that makes a wide variety of quality base solutions.

We don’t outsource our production to China and supply employment to over 100 people.

Sewing and Finishing

Our large team of seamstresses ensure that all our parasol canopies and display items are neatly and securely finished, on time every time. All work gets inspected before finishing and quality control are done. Products are fitted to their hardware systems for fit checking before getting sent off for the final quality control inspection. Quality, quantity, design and labels are carefully double checked before the finished items are packed for transportation or shipping.
